Terrific story piece! I’d love to read more about what you’ve shot. Where is this? Is it completely abandoned? You’ve done a wonderful job of lighting, comp, and dof here!
blackoutangel replied
thank you, Kevin, for the kind compliments on the shot. yes, this church is completely abandoned. i have just scratched the surface of the trip, though. expect to see more soon :)
Ted Byrne
Sometimes the most compelling feelings are in life’s voids. Thanks for presenting an irresistible one….
blackoutangel replied
i agree, Ted – maybe because blank stages allow us to project our own shows upon them?

Christopher R....
Great Shot. There is so many stories in this photo.
blackoutangel replied
thanks! that’s one of the things i like about abandoned buildings, and photos. they both tell stories, but not necessarily in a way that dictates what the details are.
Joanne Bradley
Amazing composition! Just love this quote and title with the obvious decay of this magnificent architecture!
blackoutangel replied
thanks, Joanne. i thought it kind of fitting considering my chosen subjects :)
Heloisa Castro
excellent photo
blackoutangel replied
thanks, Heloisa!
Lauri7
Terrific, I love this, well done!! How do you manage to find so many abandoned buildings? Here where I live, there is none whatsoever, which is a shame as they make great subject matter!
blackoutangel replied
thanks, Lauri! i find them through research, luck, friends, and the fact that i am obsessed. sorry i don’t know much about places in australia though.
