This little cove known locally as Cove Bay is situated to the East of Hopeman and to the West of Lossiemouth in Moray Scotland. The ancient sandstone is still quarried nearby and many of the houses in Moray have been constructed using this sandstone. Golden hour really enhances the colour of the stone. A favourite location of mine and a fascinating area full of photographic potential.

Great shot Jim, a lovely sweep to it, all anchored on that foreground bump. There’s a lot of places like this on Orkney & they really do need the light to give them a lift like this.
Hello John. Thanks for your kind comment.. Yes all about light :)
Excellent composition of a beautiful cove, lovely balance between the foreground and the cliffs, the golden hour really enhances this image bringing out the splendor of colours and rock formations. Superb work Jim
