Many thanks for taking the time to open and read this latest little journal of mine.
I got a surprise on Friday last when an email dropped in to inform me that two of my images had been short-listed in the Natural Abstract Category of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards! Anyway, I’d hardly got over that shock when in pops another email to inform me that another two of my images had been short-listed in the Scottish Landscape Category of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards!! As you will imagine I’ve just managed to calm myself down but I hope that you won’t mind me sharing that good news with you. Here’s the images.

I managed to get some sales on RB over the Christmas holidays so that was another surprise with the two mounted prints shown below being the icing on the Christmas cake.

I also managed to get an article published in the online photography magazine Great British Landscapes a couple of weeks back which I’m also really pleased about. It’s a fairly new addition to the photography scene in the UK and is well worth a look even if you are not British. The video sessions with Joe Cornish are amazing. Highly recommended. Here’s a link to the article.
What’s next? Well I’m having an exhibition in April which I’m really looking forward to. It is actually a shared exhibition with Alan Adams a photography acquaintance of mine. Titled ‘Moray – Life and Landscape’ I will be hanging 18 landscapes / seascapes and Alan will concentrate on the natural life that is to found in Moray and will also hang a similar amount. Located in The Gallery at Elgin Library in Moray the exhibition will run from Saturday 23 April – Friday 13 May 2011.
Finally, I was lucky enough to have a challenge win in Britain’s Nature. 2 a Day group so a big thank you to all voters and the group administrators Irene and Sandra.
All my best and thanks again for looking. Life is full or surprises :))
