Il Kil Cenote, Chichen Itza, Mexico by

Cenote (pronounced Say No’ Tay) is what I know as a sink-hole. Formed by a collapse of the upper ground when chemical erosion of the limestone creates a void. This photo was taken on our day trip to the pyramids at Chichen Itza and is located nearby to them.

Time for a quick dip and a photo. I love to travel, what can I say.

I’m totally jealous!!! nice shot for sure. :))

  • And it was so nice and cool for a swim on the hot day.

Too bad Mexico is in such upheaval with the drug wars. I would love to go back.
