HMS Bounty

Barbara Ingersoll

Kittery Point, United States

Artist's Description

This is a replica of the original Bounty which sailed the seas in the 1700’s. This Bounty was built as a movie prop in 1960 for the 1962 MGM release of Mutiny on the Bounty. Bounty has been hired for many films, including Johnny Depp’s, Pirate’s of the Caribbean – Dead Man’s Chest.

The HMS Bounty Organization LLC is dedicated to keeping the ship sailing and using her as a vehicle for teaching the nearly lost arts of square rigged sailing and seamanship.

This ship sailed into Portsmouth, NH last week and was moored out in the harbor before leaving. Blended with my own photographs of clouds and textures in Photoshop.
