Hi,
So I have been busy working away in my garage on several projects including painting, sculpture and in particular animation..
I started making maquettes for a short music clip last year which I sneakily found time for by integrating them into my uni projects ; )
Since then I have been slowly teaching myself how to clay animate (mostly thanks to google and lots of patience/obsession) and am now on my way to getting some sort of amateur production done…

So the world works in strange and mysterious ways and a few weeks back the A.R.S.E group announced the I am the band challenge
which was just the kick I needed to get cracking with the super cool prizes I wish I had…

Although my planed animation was not intended to be a “band” so to speak there is one character who happens to be a DJ.

So here is where I am at today he is only armature so far but he works! Finally standing by himself and bending in all the right places yay! Next is to work on the arms and hands with bendable fingers. He has cost me nothing so far as its all recycled bits and bobs I have been collecting for years… I have also finished the green scene set and some props..lots more to go!

I wont show u what his face or skin is going to look like as I am keeping that a secret for now which is why I have a rubber ball as his head haha! but here are his unpainted shoes which I made today.

Time wise it will not be any where finished for the challenge as my study starts back in 10 days and I am also working mad to finish a painting before I have my head stuck in the books, but hoping to at least finish this character off and have a very quick animation in time for entering… if not I will have to improvise with where I am up too…
I will leave it open for u to speculate as to whether there is any other members in the band ; D

This latest sculpture is EXACTLY the kind of thing we want for this challenge.
If you animate it, it will just be icing on the cake, if you don’t..doesn’t matter.
