Artist's Description

As part of a long term, four stage project to increase the lion population in Africa – numbers have decreased up to 80% in some areas – tourists are offered the opportunity to walk and interact with 9 and 18 month old lion cubs in the bush at a reserve outside Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. At the end of the fourth stage the lions are rehabilitated into the bush
They are not tame, and participants are given a half hour briefing before the ‘walk’… it is a thrilling experience and also offers the opportunity to photograph them from close quarters in their natural environment.
