Flamingoes line the shores of Lake Nakuru in Kenya like a pink ribbon. It is an amazing sight…literally millions of flamingoes as far as the eye can see.

No way!! I was just at Lake Nakuru this past June. I have a few shots from the area in my profile. Great capture!! I will certainly check your portfolio.
Thanks Steve and Scott for looking at this image. I agree, there is just so much to see in Kenya, I hope to return one day.
increadible capture. i love how you got the front row of four all grooming themselves in about the same pose like a chorus line. superb shot.
gorgeous gorgeous photo
Wow brilliant shot Sharon!
wow, very interesting. Great capture!
Lovely shot of a beautiful bird. I watched a program recently that explained why Flamingo’s allbeit plentiful are regarded as potentially endangered due to only laying one egg a year, and of those eggs its estimated only about 30% laid will reach adulthood. So a disaster in a given year could spell real danger for them
I didn’t know that but when in Kenya last year, a game ranger explained to me that they had lost thousands and thousands of flamingoes in Lake Nakuru as a result of the sewage system in the nearby town collapsing and seeping into the lake.
