Birgitta, this is deep. Like this lone soul is undergoing a personal therapy by forcing himself to contemplate the dark grey bleakness of his own mind. Think I would have come up with the same conclusion even if it weren’t for your title.
Love the grunge boarder, more as a confirmation of his confusion, and the way the floorboards converge on the focus of his attention. Also dig how your sig at the bottom right blends with the grunge. That’s a classy touch.
Which is kinda normal cause you ooze class.
Always have.
Probably always will.
Even after the birds take over…

Awww….thanks so much for saying those thangs about me… :) (Yeah, I said thangs.)
You totally nailed what I wanted to point out! The whole focal point with the floor- the boards- the perspective, etc. This guy totally has a story to tell and I bet it’s an ugly one..heheh..(looks like a Wall Street broker living on the edge…) I couldn’t help just staring at him. Thanks for your in-depth comments, BB- you know how rare that is, right?! You’re a gem. ;)

what wonderful composition and muted tone. I feel like this piece really tells a story. Congratulations on the mounted print sale too!
Hey thanks, Pete. Yeah, when I walked up on this man- this is pretty much what I saw in my head. :) The sale was about a year ago, but I almost fell over when I saw that somebody had paid $157.00 for a print. (Gasp.) Talking about making your day!
