"The Bleeding Tree.."
I’m by no means a “treehugger”, but strangely enough..
I do feel pain when I see a cut tree. I know we need wood,
and even various tree barks are known to promote healing in
cancer, but still..this is how I feel when I see our trees
and forests dying..
1st place winner in the Challenge Cafe: “Naked” competition
"The Bleeding Tree.." belongs to the following groups:
Forests, Landscape Photography and United States Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

WOW!!! Brilliant Image, Birgitta!! The perspective and composition makes the cut tree look like it’s been ostracized from the others and the tones and processing really characterise your title!!!

Its a god thing that you have not seen some of the forests out west, where they THIN the forest. It is very ugly. I know of people living in homes that are much much larger than they need, with brazilian hard wood floors, they belong to the Seirra Club. Excuse if spelling is worng.

Looks wonderful Birgitta, sorry but i am one of those that cuts the trees down, in my defence i must say that for every tree felled two are planted in their place, i only work in sustainable forests in the UK

Love the tones in this and the treatment is wonderful.. it has a real aged feel to it and almost looks like a painting on wood.. The red tones in this really give the piece great depth.

CONGRATULATIONS & JUBILATIONS…. A well deserved win in the “Challenge Cafe” naked comp. Very well done, and most definitely a winning image. It really is a moving image that stirs up thoughts & emotions alike, I too relate to the words you chose to accompany this image. Trees really are necessary for humans in their day to day existence, from the need for paper to doodle or educate, & do the necessaries in the bathroom!!!, through to the need to breathe, It really is one extreme to another. At least we are being educated about the need for trees & are making informed, educated decisions rather than blindly doing what we are told to do. Sorry, i’m just raving now!!. See, i told you this image stirs up stuff!!! I love the overall composition of this photo, The angle, depth & colors make it perfect. I like the title, the tree’s inner cut lines look like blood in this coloring. Once again,... Well done. xxx
