My goodness…thank you! I used CS3 & Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI and
about 13 layers to do this. (multiply/smart sharpening + luminosity/overlay//HDR..
a little bit of everything.) I don’t have a “set technique” so I never remember exactly

This is just goreous!! Beautiful and mysterious. I have a facination with doors and windows in photography. They are the portals of life. This, I feel a sense of reaching a destination finally, at the end of a cold and brutal season-perhaps at the end of the fall?-to finally reach an enlightened state after a long-faught struggle. The “woodiness” is lovely because it is both alive and old and even dead…and yet the door symbolizes a newness, fresh, crisp, clean and alive. I like that the door is actually open, showing that it is inviting the audience in and up to something newer and better than the old leaves that you will leave behind once you pass through the doorway.
