Oh I remember the scary things that hid under the bed waiting for the lights to go out, hiding under my covers hoping I would not have to reach my feet over the edge of the bed during the night…this reminds me of my own scary childhood dreams…great shot Birgitta!!!!!!!!!!

Amarica, you get what I was going for here. :)
His reluctance. The shadows were supposed to suggest
that idea, that every kid is hesitant to get under their covers
because they dread the idea of being alone there..in the dark
with an “under the bed” area. To this day, my son has his
mattresses directly on the floor. Ha.
