Your daughter is as awesome a model as you are a photographer…

But it`s your processing here that blows me away. Somehow by keeping the sky (love what you`ve done with that!) and the ground in the same narrow tonal range, you`ve accented the horizontal and vertical symmetry of the trees and their shadows… and this then provides a perfect background for the capricious form of your dancing girl, done so fittingly in understated complimentary tones. Wow.
But that`s not quite enough for you is it? You add the finishing touch… the killer detail… by including that amazing bent tree trunk, perfectly placed, and perfectly (within the realms of it`s limited capacity) imitating your daughter`s lovely form.

It is the subtlety and charm of this that so captivates me and somehow though I`m kind of having a bad morning with some soul-wrenching issues I`m trying to deal with, this beautiful piece of serenity and perfect composition and framing managed to put a smile on my silly face. For that lady, I can`t thank you enough.

I love this image. You’ve combined texture, movement and colour in a way that totally connects, delivering a feel that’s as mysterious as it is earthing. Love the way you’ve chosen to treat it. It brings out the stark contrast between the dark lines of the trees, and the fluid motion of your daughter. Stunning on so many different levels :)
