Nice words… sort of makes death not sound so bad. After all, life and death is an endless circle. This is layer blending put to its most beautiful use. Lovely, soulful image.

I wonder at how something so light and wistful could be given so much more meaning and substance. Only you could do it! The image and words speak to me about the transience of life, and the little time we really have to live it.

Birgitta, mcquaid, Krisso, the Japanese katakana characters down the side read “bo-pu-pi”, which means nothing in particular, just random sounds.

Nevertheless, a great image, well done!

Wow, this is a really strong image Birgitta… again this is one for the favourites! I love the style of this, very reminiscent of Japanese laquer work. Your use of textures just gets better and better at the moment.
The words accompanying this are very nice and lucky you to be brought a 2 headed dandelion!

Very interesting… in several ways I can’t imagine why a dandelion would want to be two headed, but, I can imagine, once it decided there was a reason for it, it mutating that way. Dandelions are the smartest plants I know of. They learn to grow too short for lawn mower blades, after a few times of being mowed over; and, the same plant will grow tall again when the lawn mower hasn’t been around for a good long while. Very cool plants; as well as good for you.

I love your work. Or at least these two pieces :) They’re the only ones I’ve seen. Seriously, the very real and warped flower that your son brought in could have been tossed away.
