Well originally it was a shot of trees during daylight, so the clouds are real, i then manipulated it in photoshop and made it night then added the moon and the little ufo, and fuzzed the cloud a little.

Photoshop 5.0 or 7.0 can be picked up for free i believe, try that version, there are plenty of tutorials around.
