Autumn Death

After a season of service, the peach tree leaves are now at their final rest…..

I have permission to use this wonderfully descriptive poem by one of my favourite “bush poets” krackatinni alongside my image :)

~ Leaves of Gold ~

Leaves of gold they float about,
Across the empty sky,
They float and spin then fall to earth
To rot then slowly die.
.
Life is like those golden leaves
We return to whence we came,
Because, our life is full of love and hate,
But we all end up the same.

Is it life or is it death
That makes us understand,
That we are o’ so very small
Just like a grain of sand.

We travel here and travel there
To search where we belong,
But some-times we make mistakes
Then every thing goes wrong.

We must decide what is the best
For each of us to do,
We must decide what path to take
For us to go on through.

Some accept the path they take,
They believe that path is right,
And others take the path to hell
But they try with all their mite.

There are losers and there’s winners
In this place we live,
But, remember that we all lose out
If we forget to give.
