Afamado, Andalusian Stallion by

The smartest and most fun horse ever ! He was born in March of 1974 and guess what ? He’s still alive today. This picture shows him at age 17 performing a passage. I took myself and the tack off and added some texture. I hope you like it. :-)

Update: This beautiful and gentle soul is no more……… Afamado peacefully went to the big meadow in the sky at the beginning of June, 2012. So long, old friend, and thanks for taking such good care of your riders. You were one of a kind and you will be missed by all those whose lives you have touched.

I’m Bine and my camera is an Olympus E-620 and a Lumix DMC-ZS19. As you can see, I am a total animal nut and I couldn’t imagine my life without being in nature and surrounding myself with animals.
I would call myself a pragmatic agnostic with the view, that there is no proof of either the existence or nonexistence of any deity. Since any deity that may exist appears unconcerned for the universe or the welfare of its inhabitants, the question is largely academic.

What a magnificent horse and wonderful portrait, beautiful textures! Just doing the math….he lived to 29, wow! I have a TB mare which looks a lot like him. She was bred for eventing and dressage, not racing. She is still going strong and under saddle several times per week at age 26.
