I have loved photography since a young child. I have taken photo classes, developed black & white film and photographs. In High School, I made my own darkroom in my parents’ basement. I went to 5 years of Commercial Art, studying painting, photography, Art History, Architecture, etc. I had classes on the human body with live nudes which changed my “outlook” on the human form. I see the human body as “Art” not erotica like most Artists do.

I enjoy taking photos of small items which others may not even see in everyday life.

For Christmas, 2008, we bought a 12 mg camera and hope to buy a digital SLR in the near future so that I can get more control of my exposures and focus. Some of my work is done with a 9 megapixel camera.

I’ve been having fun making my photos into “Kaleidoscopes”, a toy which I loved as a child. Each creation is “One of a kind” and cannot be duplicated by anyone else. Add a few together to make nice wall art or even card sets.

Some of the photos are taken by my husband (I tell you in the detail), but I do ALL photo editing. It is great to have a spouse who loves photography as much as I do.

I LOVE Hummingbirds and Orchids. We’ve had the same momma hummingbird use our porch to nest the last 4 years. The past two years, she nested twice. She has laid two eggs each time and successfully brought the babies to fledging. I have 3 of my nesting photos featured in the “Hummingbirds of the World” group!

I haven’t marked up my work so that it is affordable to everyone, enjoy! The card below was a special reload request. I needed to re-size the image for Rebubble and I filled the request in a day. I’ll try my best to work ASAP on any requests.
