Girl in a Field of Blue by Belinda "BillyLee" NYE (Printmaker)
This is Nikki a redbubble member. For now this is NIkki and she has requested blue flowers which are her favorite. I hope you like it Nikki, this is a mock up for a print that I will be doing this year. As a printmaker, I first do my original sketches by Photoshop, my imagination has more fun. Then after the design and colour I then figure out whether to turn it into a woodcut print, or an etching or even a lino cut.
If you would like to become a part of my art portfolio then send me a picture of yourself, mostly woman or girls and their eyes which is what I am interested in.
Meanwhile, this is the first stage of my creative thinking into making a print. Billy
1. First layer photographs. Portrait, landscape, sky, lots of layers
2. Then I like to posteredge it….
3. Then I change the Hue
4. Then I like to add flowers, work on the eyes.
5.Then I change the size to a larger scale
6. Then I add colour in different spots and darken or lighten areas.
Voila, like a painting you know when its done!

Thanks Ginny, I like this, I can’t wait to make it into a print because no matter how much I enjoy making them in my photoshop, its really about getting them onto the printing press that excites me. I like the colours..I did it in 7 different colours but I like this the best.

Elaine, I’m thinking another etching but it might be time for a lino cut. Gosh I don’t know, I have been carving wood all day. Now off to do my favorite thing of all…shallac shallac shallac, I love the smell of Shallac! Yes, I am weird!

Hey NIkki, I like it too, but you know its not the actual fine art, this will be either a painting or a print in the coming year…then you will see yourself and well, I don’t know…but this is just th mock up to my work that is coming.
