This WAS the original painting in oils called “Dreaming of Life”. However, I wasnt happy. It did not speak to me. It was dark and I felt nothing when I looked at it. So I have painted over the entire painting. Trying to bring to it what I felt. I hope you like this painting better. Its taken 2 weeks to get it to this from the other one which I will post beside it so you can see the difference.

Hi Billy, I had such an enjoyable time looking through your portfolio at the weekend…it was a delight. This is beautiful. I love dreaming…I remember several each morning…going to sleep is like going on journeys…never quite sure where they will take you. Great colour palette. ~ Anni :)

Billy, both are beautiful – each has it’s own ambiance. The darker one is like dreaming in the depth of the night, and the other is like the waking dreams of early morning. Lovely paintings, and I think they go well together as “not quite opposites”.

I like both very much, but this one is definitely brighter, more uplifting, more vibrant!

  • Thanks Alexandra thats what I wanted to hear. More uplifting. I need it in my life and wander why anyone would want to look at a painting unless it did do that. Probably why I like Van Gogh and Matisse so much.
