You are so right.. makes an impact and sometimes the painting will tell you what direction it wants to go in – go with it Belinda.. listen and it will speak to you!
    Bold, beautiful, mesmerizing!!!

  • Thanks so much Perugina, I have been studying it and am going to make adjustments on the nose and mouth and lift the right eye a little but the rest I will leave. I did it so fast today and it was such a huge canvas….when I went to take it home I could not get it in the car…so its going to live at college forever!

This is an incredible creation. I adore the colours and the amazing energy of the woman. She portrays so much depth of sensitivity. I would imagine that her suffering could well be due to the enormous depth of feeling she would have. People who can feel this deep find it so difficult to understand or find proof for all they feel.

  • Dear Tony, you cannot get it so right. You have amazing insight. This week has been so challenging for me. Fighting the courts from a stalker who is trying to stop me picking up my children from school. The courts, the police and the injustice of it all, makes me very very sad. I have been fighting evil for so long now. Its all I can do is paint and keep on going. So your insight is incredible. Thanks for commenting. Belinda

Hi again Belinda. Still get such an impact when I view this piece. I think women have such power in essence yet get so challenged by men and society with it’s material power. I was once bitten by a dog that had been playing with me gently for over an hour. Later I realised that the energy of the dogs owner had affected me and that when the dog bit it was my energy that had fuelled him. As soon as I had been bitten my energy lost it’s vulnerability and the dog returned to normal. I beleive that if we search deep enough inside we can find a strength and essence peace that can help to protect us from the physical and emotional force of others.

  • Gosh that is really powerful Tony,I wish it was that easy though for me that is, I am going to court in the morning, this man has harrassed me for three years now. He is never leaves me alone, he stalks other people also, its just for me I let go of my power. I don’t know how to protect myself from his evil energy. The funny thing is I don’t even know this man, I have never known him. He just picked me to stalk and harrass and I pray every day that one day I will just see him for the big fat bully he is and move on. I wish I was more insightful so I could absorb your wise words. I get what you are saying, I just don’t know how to stop being a ’victim". B

Wow! this is amazing, (in my view) it perfectly suits a poem of mine. So, so beautifully done, you’ve captured so much in this, sensitivity, suffering, fear, and yet there’s so much beauty despite all those feelings. I’m in awe of it.

  • I would love to feature your poem with my work, if I like it I could put it by the side and put a link to your name. Thanks for loving my painting, I did it on a day of suffering.

Oh thank you, that’s very kind of you. The poem is here
It’s awful that you had to suffer, it certianly does come through, I hope things get better for you, but I am glad that something as good as the painting could come from your suffering. =]

  • I don’t know how to feature it on the side so just put it underneath here. I read your poem and its very very good. I am 20 years clean and sober, so it has meaning to me. So, please post it here if you like. I think its a wonderful poem , you are a very young talented girl. I am impressed with your insight. Only 17 and so smart. Billy
