very rich with colour…Yarra River?
MMMM,,,I think its called the Secret River over near the Big Trees, next to the Invisible Mountain..somewhere up there in my head! This pastel drawing has to be finished as I have three more to do to pass my course and hardly any time to do them in.

They look so peaceful Billy. This has a real enchanted feel to it…the colours are superb.
it is so beautiful! dreamy!
This is just beautiful Wow, such fine detail and incredible colours. I can see why it took FOREVER to draw. There are so many wonderful stories that could be told, gazing into this image. Nice work :-)
Well worth the effort.I admire people who caan make pastels work, I just make a mess.Hope your course is going well
Trust me Kaz, it was a mess, I had to vacuum up the mess constantly and I must have gone over this so many times. I am glad I didn’t give up though because I got there finally. Yea I get to hand it in now and move on. I don’t mind it on the computer. How are you anyway, its so good to hear from you again. Oh the course is getting intense, need to get more drawings complete and essays done. I complain but probably would be sad if it wasn’t on my plate of things to do! B
It’s beautiful Billy!!!! How big is it?? How are you going? Hugs.
It just fits in the car on the board. I am guessing its too big to fit in the boot of the car. Its probably twice as big as an A1 , is that the big paper. God I don’t know, I can’t wait to take it to school, check it in and start on the next one. This one took forever. I could probably make this better but don’t have time because I have to get on to the next one. I have been ill, trying to get better. Sinuses etc. Big drag being ill. Hope you are well. Billy.
I love your imagery of women resting, sleeping, and dreaming the land awake. This subject must be symptomatic of a deeper groundswell rippling through the collective subconcious of people who are open to such things. Ive noticed a number of artists including myself creating imagery with a similar theme, though the gender varies. Its not a matter of copying, they are all very differnt and I dont think the artists are aware of others doing the same thing. Im wondering if its prophetic, a form of prayer relevant to healing the world, awakening to a new, more evolved awarenss, or an instinctual desire to return to ‘the garden,’ the world as it was before certain groups became so intent upon ravaging not only other cultures, but the very earth herself.
Dear Helena, thank you for your comment on my work. Its interesting what you said, because I don’t really know why I keep drawing or making these girls sleeping within the landscape, I don’t know what draws me to …..well….draw them there, is it because I love to be lying and dreaming in the landscape, warm, protected and safe within nature, it must be the answer I think. Today I layed out on the trampoline in the sun for half and hour and it felt good, not too hot, not too cold, perfect and I tried desperately not to think of all the things I should be doing. Tried to heal my body which hasn’t been well and I think about who or where I’m going to draw or make someone next. I love your work, and thank you for commenting on mine. BillyLee
Hey Billy, you dun good!Love the workRock
There’s something about the quality of your paintings that remind me of the work of Heni Rousseau that I saw in the Musee D’Orsay in Paris about three weeks ago. It has a feel of the supernatural about it. Love it!
That has to be one of the biggest compliments of my life. Thank you Rusty, you are so nice.
