This is a self portrait for the photograph of self in mirror competition. This is a picture taken of myself when I first picked up the camera, oh, 15 years ago….could possibly been one of my first photographs, then taken into the darkroom and developed myself….I just put the pink back into the leotard, as it was that colour. I was on my way out to the gym and this was one of those outfits where the thong went up the back (embarressing to think about these days!).
God if only I could have my figure back……well I’m working on it anyway, still have the hair so thats something.
to say you could once get away with wearing a leotard like that is something to be proud of and by the look of it you looked fab in it hope thats not weird to be coming from another chick, :)
God I always give woman compliments, especially now I am older, I like to tell younger woman that they are beautiful, because when this picture was taken I had such low self esteem, trust me, for years after this eating was an issue. I didn’t starve myself until I was 35 years of age. So, now, I may weigh more and that pink leotard has been binned many years ago….but am I happier. ..YOU BET I AM. Sure who wouldn’t want the body back….but I would trade it all in a split second for what I have now. It only gets better. Hold on to your youth and love yourself today I say. Thanks for the compliment Belle, If only I knew then what I know now!
