Lady Loves a Landscape - Drypoint etching
This is a print , done by drypoint etching into acetate. Then, experimenting with different colours. Taking this print home and playing around with pens. This is the result. I kind of like it. I have an edition of about 20 and all are very different. I will put the original addition next to this one so you can see what it looks like without the messing around with it. Thank you. Billy

This is the digital version, so it is a digital version of an etching print.

This is another drypoint etching done with similiar materials and mediums…..

Thanks, of all the people who would like it, you would be it as I know you like line work, this is done sort of willy nilly without a lot of htought into it and then these are the ones I end up liking the most. I am doing another one right now, but scratching into acetate and producing an etching can take FOREVER! I will post the original soon so you can see. Thanks for loving it, or was that liking it….ta! Hey its a heatwave here, whats it like there. Off to the beach Chow!

I just realised that the horizontal texture lines on the model echo the lines in the centre of the picture … clever … and yes I do love it :)

Not a big fan of nudity in art, especially modern art, but for you I would make an exception. This is not at all crass or commercial, slick, or pornographic looking. It has all the charm of old artistry with obvious attention to details, great line work, beautiful color choices, and the general composition is very pleasing to the eye. It’s simply beautiful!

I checked it out, I think its great! Being inspired by other artist on this site is what its all about….I reckon if people are so precious about their art, then don’t put it on the internet for the world to see. Glad I inspired you, that makes me happy. Billy
Arletta
lol Glad to have it so! And, yes, I agree with you. It makes me ill the number of people who call themselves artists but who claim never to have been inspired by another … like it’s all dirty talk or something! When, after all, it was a great artist who said that bad artists copy, great artists steal. lol
Belinda "Billy... replied
I have about six favorite artist and have read them well. EAch of my artist that I love were inspired by the other artist I love. It goes like this,....VanGogh – Munch, Klimt, Kirchner, Schiele and Hundertwasser….each of them admired and took something from the other…..Picasso himself did that all the time..there are books on it and was the most famous of them all…....your point is right…I agree wholeheartedly.
Arletta
ahem He also said good artists copy, but great artists steal. Just to make the point before someone slams me with it. He said both, and probably something about ducks, too. lol
Belinda "Billy... replied
No one will slam you, your art is unique! It only resembles your art…..where you get inspiration is your secret, let them figure it out? I love the quote you did in the other journal also by the way.
