My Red Shoes
Lino Print…...done on my press yesterday. Took four weeks to cut out though, I should add that, because I had I did on my press yesterday but it has a lot of hours clocked up on it. I mean, it takes days, weeks, months, maybe an hour a day. Great art therapy for mentally challenged people like myself. Its really a wonderful joy to do.

The shoe connection is a problem…that is for sure, I don’t know what to do….I have thousands…....plus, now I wear Crocs (the artist new Mary Jane Crocs).////....Maybe I will do another shoe print soon.

I think we have a lot in common, especially our eyes, I think our eyes are related..really, ...I am going to now do another print and use better colours. that is what I like about printmaking, if you arn’t satified with one print you can make another one. The plate is yours forever, I am going to make a gold and red one next. I want to create so much…but have to go and hang yet another load of washing on the line….I’ll be back.

Hi Carmen, just got home from Little AThes and dinner, exhausted, what does “what’s popular” mean…..where was it. I only put it on this morning I think. Thats why you missed it. Only completed it yesterday. I am going to do a better one, this was a rotten print, not crisp enough for my eye, so will put another one is soon. That is why I love printmaking, you can print it again and you don’t loose any of your work, its there always, if you know what I mean/

Carmen, buy some lino print, you do not need a press to print them, just cut th elino out and get cracking. Tools are $9 and the lino is $8 and all the rest is ideas, creating and working hours. You can do it, I love it I really do.. ....I have shoes, god, what size are you? I have shoes that are so high I will never ever wear them…..I am a size 10. Of course I am nearly 6 ft so size 10 is ok, isn’t it??????Oh I am a giant!!!!!

Ps – I have racks of shoes, green ones with emeralds on them (not real of course), orange ones with coral… red ones with ruby’s, black with diamonds, shoes from the 40’s, the 50’s, the 70’s, lately I have traded int the heels and go for flats, so now I am building a wardrobe of birkenstocks embellished with patent leather, diamante, leapard skin, metallics…. oh, I relate to you, you have no idea how much!

Dear Viviane, thanks for your comment because I really want to do another one of this particular one with more leopard print in it and I know this process is going to take soooooo long, do I really want to venture on it. But your comment has inspired me and I will begin today I think. I just had another knock back from a competition and a friend of mine was snappy at me. So I am spiraling down for some reason. I have to pick myself up and tally on!
