Xanadu Sunday

Photograph I took of my sister a few years back. Its great to get it out of the book and put on the bubble. I am getting such joy putting my photographic work onto the bubble. I am getting quiet sidetracked with it all. HOwever, I was so passionate about photography, especially human portraiture. Now I am a printmaker and I think the two compliment each other well. I look forward to learning digital printmaking in the future. Meanwhile this is the last download for the week. I hope you like it. I love it so much. Billy

Oh, do you guys know what other groups I can put this in?

Taking a bubble break everyone, going antique book hunting then to the studio to do some art for today. I have been so into the bubble and my photographs. I hope my sister sees this her name is Kim and if she sees it she might want to buy a copy. Kim, lives in Melbourne. She and I don’t get along anymore, but she took a good shot here or did I take a good shot. I deveoped this in the dark room the old fashioned way! Bye for now Bubbler friends, Ozjami, LocoCow,Bites, Simese Lilly and all my bubbly friends. Getting bottom off chair and out in the other world.

No not really, there are no artist in my family. However, one day at my Grandmothers house, she was a refugee from Germany during the war…I found paintings of australian landscapes on match box covers and I was amazed at how small they were and how brilliant they were. Who knew she had talent!

This is a black and white image I took in my studio in London and then developed in the darkroom myself. I loaded it up on my scanner and digitally coloured it in to the desired colours. No cropping involved. I am going to upload another favorite today. Cant wait to see the response!

Dave, thanks for your kind words, as you know I’ve had a really down evening and feeling a bit of the “what for’s”....I mean, what for if printmaking is such a fine art nobody wants to hang it…I realize like every artist you have to keep on keeping on. Art is almost a struggle of survival, so many of us just drop out and confirm…..no I will tally on as you say in England…Tally on and keep on doing art.
