Mother and Son

Copper plate etching. This is the same as the other one but hand painted and downloaded with a better jpeg. The one was low and could not be sold. Plus, My redbubble will not let me…...edit and change the photograph. It keeps shutting down. I like this better. I only printed up a few…and this is my favorite.

Oh Billy this is lovely… I presume you haven’t churned these all out today – you must be feeling better!

Yes, I am back to normal now. Won’t be doing that again. And its funny because I feel motivated again. Wanted to give my site a bit of a spiffing up. One more to download. I can’t show my latest work as its for the magazine….I work on it each day. Woodcuts take forever and ever to do.l..nearly finished though, then I put it together and can start doing other work. I love the way you churn out art and I want to start working harder. But alas, the woodcut is painstakingly slow and you don’t know what you are going to get in the end result…but yes. Thanks for asking , feeling 100% better.

Uh, not sure I would say I ‘churn’ it out. It’s quite hard work actually, different to woodcuts I know, but it’s own set of challenges.

Well not churn, not the right word, but wish I was as motivated and committed as you are. That is what I meant. The only way to succeed as a good artist is to be committed….and keep doing the art. Like our friend Picasso!

LOL! Ok, I forgive you! But today’s wasn’t the best, not sure if you noticed it yet.

Yes, this one is better thanks Lilly. Oh and CArmen I did see the artwork you did yesterday and I especially like the story with it. I think it was full of thought and emotion. The only way we know how to produce art. Loved it. Oh the background, have any of you done Chine Colle before on a print. Nightmare, its not easy because it gets more stuck to your fingers before you lay it on the plate. Its one of those techniques that can have you running out of the room screaming. So I appreciate you noticing the background Susan because I must have done it 10 times before I got this one!
