Raven Girl Wins
This oil Painting began with a fabric I found in a thrift shop. I sealed the fabric and than began my drawing with acrylic paints. I first did the background with gold acrylic paint. Then I began the painting in oils. My model is from a hairdressing magazine and the bird is from a bird book I have at home.
I will be doing finishing touches on this work and uploading this painting again. Tomorrow i take it into TAFE for assessment.

Painted the gold , green today and than had to wipe it all back…didn’t look good. But did more of the lace work and made the bird better…left it at school. Can’t wait to try the next one. This is so much fun Marion. Sure takes the worries out of not being a well person thats for sure.

It is fun, but I must say, fabric does wave or not lie flat. YOu cannot see it in the photograph of the painting, but unlike canvas it does not stretch completely flat. This is for anyone who is thinking of trying it. Its not a perfect canvas to paint on. B
