Visual Diary 3 - Who Needs a Canvas?

Gouche and Ink in Visual Diary. Doing for art essay in collage.

I like the idea of body and hair art. I never realized before how hair art is such a huge craze. I love the idea of using the human body as a work of canvas. Some Ethopian tribes decorate their bodies like this (without clothing) every day. I love that idea.

I got this visual idea out of last months Australian Vogue. They had a fashion spread similiar to this.

Hi Billy, Yup decorating straight on to the body would certainly create a lot of wardrobe space :) It is amazing about hair art. I was in the library the otherday and there seemed several magazines devoted to it (hair styling). ~ Anni :)

Very cool! Though, if I ever invite you to a wedding, I’d prefer you wear something a bit more casual.

Cool, Billy. Nice diary. :) Wasn’t aware of the hair art, although it reminds me of the days when we girls and young women wore flowers in our hair, and flower head bands and such. (That’s why I often decorate the hair of women in my art.) But this is much more “out there”. What fun for the hairdressers!!
