Green Peace

Green Peace

This is a large canvas for a huge wall space. I was manic when I painted this…..and it kind of makes me feel good to have it on my wall. Green is a soothing color for someone who can get manic. I don’t know, I love circles for some reason. Anyone know why some people like circles? Anyway, its Called Green Peace

thank you for a little bit of heaven…this is very mandala-like and the name (Green Peace) is fitting. perhaps you created this for mind centering purposes. i know that is why i create my mandalas… i might add that everyone is bipolar to some degree – we are all in a state of imbalance and we are all moving towards wholeness – some of us (like you and i) are just more aware of the process and more involved in the process than others :-)

I know a lot of people do like circles.. I think it has something to do with the completeness, the cycling, being soothing, symbolic of healing and being whole.. at any rate, I really like this.

My first reaction was to say I wouldn’t want a big one around me, as it would be too overwhelming; but, on rethining, I decided that it might need to be very big, indeed, so that one could see between the lines, allowing one to see the calmness between the lines better.

Arletta, I have to be really honest with you and say, its not nearly as bright as this one, I made it lighter…its sits on a big wall and it doesn’t crowd me in….but once I had to give it to a gallery for an opening and they kept it for a month, Gosh the blank wall, I longed for it to come back to me…so I think you are right, for me its symbolic of healing and being whole….boy your good, you are really good! Are you an art therapist..if not you should be. B

I love circles, can’t stop drawing them and I love your circles too. If you want a deeper explanation the circle represents all life and the centre point represents your own centre, psyche, soul, it is the seed from which all life comes. If you wish to calm the manic, draw what you feel into a circle, it will act as a container for emotion and feeling. I could go on but I won’t incase I bore you to death. xox jenb

You don’t bore me at all, in fact I often wonder why I can’t part with this peice and why it represents something to me. Its strange because no other works bother me leaving the house. B

I look at this piece and think the reason you may not want it to leave the house is because your soul lives here. It speaks volumes of travel to a much deeper place. xox jenb
