Amy's Travels - Aquatint Etching
This is the first edition. I made 20 yesterday. HOwever I feel this plate can be pushed to a whole new level. So I will be working on this plate and re-uploading it in a week or two. I love this new series of plates I am doing in the print room. I love exploring the image in a drawing, then a print and perhaps next year a painting. I love doing my girls in landscapes…..I hope you like this….it pairs up with the “Dreaming of LIfe” etching. I hope to have a show next year so I am working hard on these prints.
UPDATED WITH EDITION 3 on 6/8/08
This print is inked up with different coloured inks and then rubbed back carefully to get the different effects of colour.

This is wonderful BillyLee. I love doing etchings. I had taken a class a few years back but we never got into color. We were just doing black & white. It was my favorite art class ever!

Billy, this is beautiful. I did a little etching years ago, but mainly concentrated on lino prints later, which I will get back to one day hopefully. I love the way you can get multiple copies at one time and varying colours.

Hey thank you Gloria for commenting on my etching. I did the third edition yesterday, more aquatinting and more ferric…..printed it out 6 more times. Will have to upload it right away. Check out the new one when and let me know which is better for you. B

again beautiful – funny you have gone back to plate and in my shop i’ve gone on plastic plates lazer printed – quicker but not so beautiful
