Shot this star trail while out with a couple friends in January watching the Quadrantid meteor shower. We saw well over a hundred meteors, but nearly all of them were too dim to show up on camera. My best stuff from the night ended up being star trails and timelapses instead of the fireballs we had hoped for. Regardless, I can’t complain with how this image came out. I won’t lie, I did adjust the colors with this one. I usually keep my colors within the realm of realism, but I decided to liberally apply some vibrance to this one and give it warmer tones (maybe I just don’t want to remember how cold my toes were!). One side note, that’s the moon setting in the lower right, not a day/night compilation image.
