This is Rossmeyer’s Harley shop in Daytona Fla. The biggest HD dealership in the world, it’s a complex with hotel, restaurants, BBQ park, and just a shitload of biker vibe!
Sadly, owner Bruce Rossmeyer was killed in a bike accident in Wyoming days after I shot this. Seems the church in Ormand Beach had 1000 mourning bikers attending the funeral… the hearse was pulled by a Harley, natch.

Again 3 shots taken with 2 stops either side of middle, and rested the camera on a railing to keep it still.
I Used Photomatix for tone mapping, which I find works far better than Photoshop’s on-board effort for getting the HDR effect tweaked exactly the way you want it. OK, this HDR effort is more pronounced than the others in my pf… a lot depends on the subject and I didn’t think the vibe really kicked in with this shot till I brought the effect a bit over the top.

Of course, even if the camera is perfectly still, anything or anyone moving will be ‘ghosted’… in other words, processed in a different position from each frame. Can look cool, can look stoopid. If you zoom in on this, you can see ghosts at both the bottom and the top of the escalator.
BOO!!!

Shot at 16mm full frame
