By the way Deborah, behind the window with the missing dog is a chimney—they do them like this in the Algarve and it is an identifying feature of the region. Like chocolate in Belgium! Thanks again for the interest!

Incredibly fine, the watchers at the gate. And the building itself is a perfection of workmanship. Very beautiful. The German shepherds are fabulous, and have a self-assured kind of boredom to their faces, as if the job is not as challenging as it might be for them.
