Mirror, Mirror...
Our kitten OJ, gazing into a make-up mirror, watched over by curious cockatoo. Bird was photographed in pet store and added with Photoshop. I had to wait till OJ got totally tired before he’d sit still… in the end I had to snap my fingers to get him to open his eyes.

Kimberly, is it a cockatiel rather than a cockatoo? Or maybe cockatoo are more than one cockatiel? I so don`t want to embarrass myself in front of all the Aussies, so somebody please put me straight!!
Cathie… shopping cart? That`s made my ears perk! I was so excited beginning of the week having sold my very first card, and there`s been more since… don`t think I`ll be buying the yacht this month, but I`ll definitiely be ordering the shrimp cocktail tonite!

A Cockatoo is a BIG parrot. Do a search on one here, and you’ll see. ;-)

. again your set up work is superb.. can’t beat the photo and the bird and what is that white thing sticking up to the right of the mirror? crystal/tissue.. I am mystifed!! you ever think of doing this for a living?? your work is so interesting and story driven.. a rare commodity..when days like these selling is everything!!

Thanks Lina! That white thing sticking up next to the mirror is the bird`s tail… only other things are the 3 perfume bottles. A very feminine feel to this. But I am in touch with my feminine side, yeah?
Just don`t know if I`ll be able to totally trust cats from now on… unless they`re de-clawed…

I love the way OJ is enlarged in the magnified side of the mirror, making his gorgeous eyes even bigger and more adorable….........his image on the wall is a cute touch…....and the Cockatiel is a priceless looking down at him….....

Trace, I am SO chuffed you commented on this and faved it… not many seem to have noticed, this picture is so from my soul and born of my deep affection for cats… especially for little OJ who was my fav of all time. But you recognize the love that went into this and I adore that.
The Cockatiel was shot during the same pet shop session in which I shot the birds for Bird Puss… he was easier to work with as he wasn`t in a cage!
