Waterburst

This is actually done on film, then the negative scanned to Photoshop. No post processing was used for the final image.
Camera: Canon EOS 100
Film: Fuji Reala (100 asa)
Lens: EF 100 mm Macro
Aperture: f 11
Shutter: 1/125 sec.
Shot this with self timer counting down to zero, at which precise moment I burst the water balloon with a pin. Took 10 frames to be sure, and this is the only one where all the elements came together. Did it out on our pattio in front of a sheet of blue paper. Never got so soaked in my life.

Waterburst belongs to the following groups:

Artrageous RB Artists - Self Portrait Gallery, Film Photography, Humour Captured and Technical Photography Available for sale as

Greeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

hee hee, i have a weakness for water shots… especially when they are done with as much skill, thought, and humor as this! what was the shutter speed set on this shot?

I’ve now had the time, but more importantly the privelage to have a root through your pf in return.

What a fine array of excellent shots (I would say work but then we you appear to be having so much fun doing something, can it really be labelled work?) there are in there. What I like most is the clarity and vision involved. A lot of work appears to go in the planning which pays off in dividends.

There is also a large array of differing types of work which goes to show the talent that you have is in abundance.

This shot gets the comment as it drew me straight in from the thumbnail. The capture of that water, the whole set up (I mean even the watch is facing the right way and can be clearly seen) right down to the expression on the face that you know is there but is also partly hidden is just inspired.

Like the others, this was done on film… and again only one of the many takes turned out the way I wanted. That`s the buzz you got with film… you never quiute know what you`re gonna get till you get it back from the developer. Here I was really happy with the way the colors worked with the background.
