Hello, my name is Bill Stephens. I was born in the Bavarian Alps, and was inspired by the art in the surrounding churches, museums and castles as a young boy.
I grew to have a love for art early on, but as life would have it, I ended up doing everything but art in many decades that followed.
Only a couple works were produced in the first 50 years of my life.
It wasn’t until all that I had worked for suddenly evaporated, and my life ended in the most dramatic way that I decided to get creative to offset the pain. Adversity often is what is needed to challenge us to take a different road.

What artists create always reflects where their hearts truly are, and have been. Any work is no greater in depth than that which resides within the artist. An artist exposes whatever value is within when they commit to a work. The only limits to art rest within the individual. Artists should strife to reach far beyond what they “think” they can do. As with relationships, art is an journey of the heart which demands commitment to depth.

I have personally sought to stay true to the “fidelity” of what God has magnificently created. Since most all imagery is borrowed from the realism of creation, I believe that man is never free to cheapen what God has imagined, but aught to try and compliment what has been made in keeping with being made in His Image. I have come to credit my own talents as part of God’s thoughtfulness as well.

Life and Art are to be a very serious matter, never void of intellect, and always connected with the heart. Art communicates without asking permission, and thus can be the most powerful communicator.

All of my works are from personal experiences in this journey through life. Whether it is chasing something and shooting hundreds of pictures to get just that one, or planning a shot and letting it “cook” and reworking it 100 times…I give it all that a good work deserves. Sometimes I have put my life at risk to get a shot, so it’s all how much one is willing to give as to what one gets.

I like to show an unlimited ability to create fresh pieces, which encourage and enlighten people of all ages and seek to produce the highest quality art which the imagination, heart, intellect and spirit are able to embrace. To reflect a little of what Christ has painted so beautifully and never take credit for anything wonderful as though I am responsible, for I am but a work myself, fashioned by a grace that is totally undeserved.

Why do I do pictures of Christ? Because He is the greatest subject of art, music and literature. He deserves the best, and His face shouldn’t be portrayed because it will rob Him of His true identity.

Beyond art, I encourage all to try and portray the Christ correctly in your own life. Not by what any Church says, or any preacher, but what you may learn by reading a Bible.
What you may discover in reading is what is taught in very few churches… that this “Christ” is actually the Hebrew Jeshua and was the the one who spoke to Moses as the I AM. In sort, this “Jesus” is nothing less than God Himself throughout the entire Bible, and is the only God that is worth referring to, or God is nothing but a fairy tale, and those who name God are the silliest people of all.

I am afraid the only people who would buy my work are other photographers and artists on this site, for I have my own website and print my own giclees up to 24”x36” on canvas and paper using an Epson 7800 with K3 archival inks.

I have much more work to put on here, however, I will wait until I see that it is worth all the upload time before I do.
