Eighty-three-year-old Bill Meeker retired from a thirty-four year teaching career in 1987. He is a 1951 graduate of Central State College, now The University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. He received a B.A. degree in fine arts.

Bill has spent his lifetime pursuing an avocation of art and art-related activities. After retiring, Bill and his wife, Marge, opened their first bed and breakfast, Visages, which doubled as an art gallery.

In 1996 they scaled down to a much smaller home. After remodeling the house extensively, they opened their second B & B, which they named Bit of Eden. It is located in Joplin, Missouri.

Bill is again active in artwork and happily offers prints for sale
