Uncle Denny fell on his head.
Uncle Denny we thought was dead!
But he is made of sterner stuff,
I guess he likes to play it rough.
He broke his neck, Oh yes, it’s true!!
I do not think he WANTED to!!
God sent a stranger to hear him say
‘Just turn me up the other way’
Off to hospital like a stiff,
Of his chances not a whiff.
On his head, it is no joke,
There was an egg without a yolk.
But before you know it he is sitting up
And he is drinking from a cup.
Ere long he is walking too,
So what next is he going to do??
So though his neck is in a brace,
There is a smile upon his face.
For already he is climbing stairs,
Eating food, and saying prayers!
So let’s all give praise and thanks to God
That he didn’t die upon the sod,
That Denny lives, the tale to tell,
Of how the Lord will make him well………….
PS.
As you can see I am no Bard
But I thank those who prayed so hard.
And if you’re hearing what I am saying,
Please, Oh Please, continue praying.

What a wonderful true story. Both yours and your poem. It is true. God is still in the HEALING business. trisha
Thanks Trisha, I heard Today he has walked UNAIDED for the first time….. and has enough co-ordination to stand and brush his teeth. If you want the full story check out my (Bill Lee) or Bonnie Stewart Steinbach’s page on Facebook.
It is an amazing testimony so far……. PRAYER CHANGES THINGS….. and God is listening!!!
Thanks so much Bill, he is doing so well and he loved this poem and has it posted on the wall in his room for all to read :-) Ble
I am so pleased Denny is progressing so well, and that my little literary effort is helping!! Prayers will never stop for Denny, yourself and your situation …. Love, Bill.
Bill, this is a delightful, amuzing ditty with the serious truth of the miracle of answered prayer running through it. Very well written.
