Born in Fairmont, West Virginia, September 2, 1935.
Raised in Greensburg, Pennsylvania from the age of 4 and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1953. He was always interested in art and along with his identical twin brother, Bob, they would draw and paint from a very early age. Bill won a small scholarship to Ad Art Commercial Art school which was in Pittsburgh. He moved to the Steel City but since the scholarship was for only $600, he had to abandon the school after only 4 months and go to work. In 1959 he journeyed to Los Angeles and soon landed a job with the Los Angeles Times and within a year he was their Color Advertising Consultant. He held this post for 8 years and then joined a graphics art company called Repro Color and after 22 years with them he left when the company was sold and spent a few years as a security guard before retiring. During his working years, he painted realistic oils, mostly landscapes, and is a member of the Pomona Valley Art Assoc.and Redlands Art Assoc. Through the years he has sold over 300 paintings similar to those on his YESSY site. He is married to Patricia and has 3 daughters and nine grandchildren.
