I have enjoyed photography all my life but, it had to take a backseat for 18 years when I became a single parent. In the last ten years I have gotten back into it while enjoying all forms of photography, I have concentrated on outdoor, nature (and lately macro) as a stress reliever after a week’s work and been fortunate to have my efforts recognized.
My work has been published in The Photographer’s Forum-Best Of books, Nature Photographer Magazine, The Sierra Club-Mackinac Newsletter (and promotional mailings too!) and the Macomb County, Michigan Government Directory. The City of Sterling Heights, Michigan selected me, as Artist of the Month, I have won two Gold Metals from the Austrian International Super Circuit and the Grand Prize from the WWJ Radio Photo Contest.
I still shoot slide film and then scan into my digital darkroom because I love the look of slides and the camera I want (Nikon D3 . . . ok Santa how about a D700) is beyond my budget right now.
