As I was working on this piece, I got to thinking about a folk song sang by my mother sang when I was a kid. The song spoke of a goat that ate some shirts off the clothes line, then got tied to a railroad track. A train started coming and the goat coughed up the shirts and flagged down the train. No goats were harmed in the making of this photo.

Photomanipulation with multiple layers including my own textures merged in PS elements, and tweaked in Topaz Adjust and PS Lightroom.

Bill Grogan’s Goat by A Mighty Wind

Lyrics
Bill Grogan’s goat
Was feeling fine,
Ate three red shirts
Right off the line.

Bill gave that goat,
A great big smack,
And tied him to
The railroad track.

A fast express,
Was drawing nigh,
Bill Grogan’s goat
Was doomed to die.

He gave three bleeps
Of mortal pain,
Coughed up the shirts
And flagged the train.
