These are the voyages of the Spudchip “TaterPeel”. It’s continuing mission, to explore strange new asterids, to seek out edible tubers. To boldly go where no Irishman has gone before.
- Artistically paraphrasing Captain James T Kirk of Star Trek fame

Inspired by the Star Trek TV shows and movies and my love of spuds.

Canon 7D, Manual, f/11, 1/100 sec, ISO-100, 35mm, with flash

A photomanipulation utilizing the levitation effect to maintain proper lighting throughout the scene. Multiple layers stacked and modified in Photoshop elements with a final lighting adjustment in Topaz adjust.

I am self taught, with an imagination that will not stop. I started drawing as a kid, and dabbled with correspondence art school but never took art in high school or college because I felt it might constrain me. I was wrong, but no crying over spilled milk.

Totally bonkers, nuts and out of this world and I love it. Your image is superbly produced and the storyline hysterical. Thank God for people like you who can make a terrible, rainy day as we have here in Wales at 12.45 pm Friday. 17.08.12 and make it so cheerful and nearly as good as my birthday. Good on you Randy and may your voyages continue to achieve more knowledge for us Earthlings. Cheers. Tony.

  • Well Tony, I’m so glad that this little diddy could help sooth a soggy day Wales. It truly was a labor of love and I must say and your wonderful comments means mission #1 for the “TaterPeel” is successful! Thanks for stopping by, most appreciated my friend and please stay dry!
