It’s so frustrating for a photographer to have to shoot photos of a sleeping newborn only. With Lilly, my newest grand child, I always had my camera in hand with near her looking for a great opportunity but getting only those common shots. One evening she was at my home and my wife was holding her, and one of our Dachshund’s climbed up onto the couch and right up next to the child as she lay sleeping. “OH MAN” I thought and started snapping away in case Pickles decided to get down. She stayed there a good long time keeping watch over Lilly as she slept. It was wonderful.
