The day comes you find the one that holds your heart,
The one who grabs hold right from the start.
Someone you would love and hold so dear,
Who makes your heart flutter when they are near.
Someone you would always put above yourself,
Then you find you must put your feelings on a shelf.
As they need to have them some healing time,
So you must respect that and draw that thin line.
Putting your feelings and affections on hold,
Trying to not let them think your being so bold.
Trying to let them see you respect how they feel,
Without looking like too much of a heel.
Respecting all thier wishes and feelings,
Not letting your heart do so much reeling.
Trying to be a silent and sideline observer,
Not wanting to add any unneeded pressures.
But still wanting to help in any way,
No matter what they might think or say.
Praying everyday they will soon open thier eyes and see,
How wonderful a relationship with you could really be.
