Rubicon and Renegade go on an adventure in the snow. by

This is Rubicon (white) and Renegade (brown), my two ferrets.
They’re not just pets… they earn their keep by making sure that all the rats around my cottage are kept in their place!

Rest in Peace Renegade -a journal entry.

Well we don’t have snow in Adelaide, Australia – but if I ever get the chance, I will take him. I’m sure he’d loooove it. He loves digging dirt… ! xx

they’re so cute!!! ever had a whole heap together? now that’s a riot!!
I had 13. they loved getting into a big – huge – tub full of pingpong balls.
:) i miss their “happy dance”.

  • I fill their “Court” with about 50cm of straw every now and then, they go completely crazy!
“happy dance” = “War Dance of the Weasle” in the UK!

To be honest, I was never a fan of ferrets, a girl thing. These two are very cute and they look like they are enjoying the snow. i didn’t know that ferrets could keep rats away. Very nice..

They are cute but don’t they steal your chicken’s eggs?

  • They are kept well away from the chooks.
