I had several names for this one, but as ever a senior moment ripped them from my mind. Enjoy!

Inspired by my dad in visual arts and music from a very early age. He mentored me in photography, film processing and printing when I was 7 or 8 years old. He wouldn’t teach me to play guitar though so I had to teach myself, and played bass in a group while I was at University for pocket money. I took early retirement in 2009 and rekindled my passion for photography. My art is eclectic. I’ll photograph anything and everything. The world is full of images just waiting to be captured.

    Now that’s b***** clever Harry! 10/10 for imagination. :-)

  • Is the word you’re looking for “Blooming” by any chance?

Thanks April, I’m grateful for your comments.

This is great, Harry!!! what a wonderful idea… can’t wait to see what you come up with next!!

  • After seeing it after bringing my wife home from work I may update this image slightly and replace it. But the concept will remain, and I may remember the other potential names for it too.

Thanks for your great comment Barbara, I have another idea or two, but maybe I should write them down before I forget them. :o)

You put me to shame with those nails. Mine have a permanent gesso/charcoal manicure. :-D

  • To quote a humorous tale: “You know you’re an artist when <everything is covered in Gesso/charcoal/oils etc.”

I just keep them reasonably short on the left hand and slightly longer on my right, and I have trained myself not to bite them any more too.

Great comment April, really enjoyed it!

You seem to have a natural gift for producing these little Photoshop masterpieces; I am impressed!

I worked as a call-handler for the railway. It would have been great to say, “Sorry your train was delayed; I’ll just squeeze out another one for you sir”.

Is that Cramlington church in the background?

One more thing – I was amused that April is admiring your finger nails; maybe you can swap manicuring tips with her :-)

  • Hi Dave. I really appreciate your comments, you’re very complimentary, thank you. Great comment for you as a call handler, very funny :)

The background is Lumely Castle I believe. I was in Plawsworth when I took the train photo.

Yes, I’m still thinking of a fun reply – but I’m getting there, give me another moment it’s late you know.

    Great Image!

  • Thanks for your comment Joe. Images like this are a safe photographic pastime compared to yours my friend! I wish you all the best with that. Have you really been a part of “Storm Chasers” on TV? If you have I may have seen you!
