Taken at the East State Penitentiary (ESP), Phildelphia, PA. This was the beginning of the tour to walked to the barber chair and Al Capone’s cell. The walked was damped and cool and I could hear my voice echo if I spook loud enough. Once in awhile I would have cold chills running up and down my spine while walking around. When I would get close to a ESP hosts and I would feel the warm heat coming off the electric heater that was next to them that melted the cold chill away that I was having. The lights were dim probably to save on the utility bill. Once in a while the ESP hosts would mentioned that they were looking for donations to keep the place running. The walls had peeling dark green paint mixed with concrete that was coming off the walls. The cells would have piles of falling rusty looking concrete on the floor that was coming off the walls and ceilings with just a small retangular sky light beaming light to the floor. One of the ESP hosts said that the prisoners meals where cater to their cells and that was servce, he said. It was an interesting place to visit. However, the barber chair and Al Copone’s cell was probably the best photo opportunity shots anyone has taken their unless your really artistic with photoshop.
