This is within site of the McCarthy barn I posted. I was very curious as to who was mowing this lawn – no new house on this property.

Wonderful capture!! I am sure if those walls could talk, they could tell some good stories.

I wish I could have at least peeked in, it was posted and too visible to sneak on to the property. I did explore houses like this when I was a kid, always interesting.

They really would. I am always fascinated by houses that were built out in the middle of nowhere.

Thank you Mindy. You sure have to wonder – it had a lot of snow on it this past winter that’s for sure.

You know back before I married MrsCity I was able to drag her in an old house like this to look around – she’s too chicken now.

I used to like roller coasters when I was younger. So I know how she feels.

pity. It looks like a nice spot. Somebody build that years ago. What happened/

It still has a nice view on top of a hill with no neighbors near.
You never know what happened – they might have lost their farm or sold it to the neighbors who had houses already? You do have to wonder how long this one has been empty, there is an abandoned house near where I grew up that has been empty for over 30 years and looks like you could move in yet compared to this one.

It really is the most weathered house I have seen that is not fallen apart.
