Woodland Elf by Sarah Moore

Ok so this was an experiment. I have never attempted anything quite like this before! The aim was to create a fairy like creature.

I used the liquify tool, smoothing, I created her leafy hat from scratch and painted in her hair.

There were over 150 layers by the end!

Honest opinions/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the original image to compare…

    Amazing work, just simply superb.

  • Thanks so much, I wasn’t really sure about it – I think I’ve looked at it for too long – LOL.

I’m going to try so hard to comment without mentioning the word creative but you know that would be near impossible Sarah.

A work of painstaking beauty. 150 layers is 149 more than I ordanirly use and I really like the comparison to see just how ingenious you’ve been to reach the end product.

  • LOL…thanks Stuart. I start off knowing what I want and then when I’m finished it looks nothing like what I initially thought…but the concept is the same.

Smashing work. Worth the 150 layers. Luv her lush lashes

  • Thanks, I wasn’t sure about the lashes thought they might be too much, but I like them too.

OMG… This is sensational. I can’t believe the amount of layers. It’s just amazing, how much work you have put into it. Well done Sarah as always.

  • LOL – each eye lash, hair strand, butterfly and leaf had their own layer!
